Friday May 3, 2013 from 6pm to 9pm: First Friday Art Murmur at Uptown Body & Fender at 401 26th Street
Carol will participate in May’s First Friday Art Murmur, where she will showcase jewelry made with collectible beads and her new Botanical Impressions. Carol will be joined by her daughter, Sarah Tanenbaum-Adams, who will offer her jewelry for sale that night. A family friendly event, you are invited to view and purchase unique, handcrafted jewelry and crafts on May 3 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM.
June 1 & 2, 8 & 9, 2013 from 11am to 6pm: ProArts East Bay Open Studios at Uptown Body & Fender at 401 26th Street in Oakland
The Pro Arts-sponsored East Bay Open Studios will take place during the first two weekends in June. Carol will show her work with the Uptown Twenty, artists who work in diverse media including ceramics, beading, watercolor, acrylic, oil, weaving, silver smithing and print-making. The Uptown Twenty will be at Uptown Body and Fender, 401 26th Street, between Broadway and Telegraph Avenue, Oakland. See below for more details.
Friday June 7, 2013 from 6pm to 9pm: First Friday Art Murmur at Uptown Body & Fender at 401 26th Street in Oakland

Carol will participate in June’s First Friday Art Murmur with the Uptown Twenty, where she will show her jewelry made with collectible beads and her Botanical Impressions. 10% of the artists’ proceeds will benefit the Oakland branch of the nonprofit, peace-teaching organization Canticle Farm. June 16 to 23, 2013 at Feather River Art Camp near Quincy, CA
To take Carol’s jewelry design class, come to art camp for a full week of creativity! Carol will give a workshop on jewelry design at Feather River Art Camp. This will be for flameworkers who want to make a necklace, bracelet, or earrings with the beads they’ve made in Harlan Simon’s bead-making class and others who want to create a piece of jewelry from beads they’ve collected but have not yet strung. Saturday March 30, 2013: Paper Bead Making Class for children and their adult companions at Blue Door Beads at 4167 Piedmont Ave in Oakland

Art lovers from all over the Bay Area continued their holiday shopping for unique hand crafted jewelry.

Saturday December 1, 2012: California College of the Arts Holiday Fair ~~ SEASON OF CRAFT!

CCA’s idyllic Oakland campus turned into a bustling arts bazaar for a day.  Here you people began their holiday shopping for one-      of-a-kind, handmade, affordable gifts of jewelry.

October 20, 2012: Third Friday at Cotton Mill Studios in Oakland

The event was a Third Friday (F3) artist sale with food and entertainment.

October 14, 2012: Mini-Maker Fair at Studio One and Park Day School in Oakland

The Mini-Maker Fair, attended by 5,000 people — kids and families alike — offered demonstrations in all kinds of activities — arts, crafts, technology and more. Carol demonstrated and taught paper bead-making. She led participants who flocked to her table the opportunity to make beads, and then necklaces and bracelets to wear.

This craft offered all the ingredients of a successful activity,

** Learning something new,
** Making a project to wear home, and
** Having fun in the process.

Carol participated in the First Friday Art Murmur Festivities at 17 Jewels Salon and Spa.  It was a night of fun with local art & music from many talented local artists, including Carol.

July 30, 2011: Artist in Residence at Tuolomne Family Camp in Berkeley

Carol was an Artist in Residence this summer teaching Paper Bead Making on July 30, 31, and August 1.

June 4-5 and June 11-12, 2011 | 11am to 6pm: Open Studio at Carol’s Studio in Oakland

We hope you were able to drop in during one of the Open Studio dates (June 4,5,11,12, 11:00 – 6:00) to say hi, have a glass of wine, and set a spell. We had an open house for friends on each of these days.

March 5, 2011: Bead Bazaar at Oakland Marriott City Center Hotel in Oakland

Carol joined over 100 studio artists and exhibitors who were selling beads, jewelry findings, finished jewelry and more at the Bead Bazaar. Sponsored by the Bead Society of Northern California, this is the largest bead society sale in the US.

December 4, 2010: Holiday Fair at California College of the Arts in Oakland

Carol displayed her work at the CCA Holiday Fair where she sold her jewelry made with semi-precious stones, silver and gold vermeil.  The fair this year was on Saturday, December 4 from 11am to 3pm at the California College of the Arts, Oakland campus.

November 27, 2010: Holiday Gift Show at the Claremont Hotel in Berkeley

Carol showed her work again at the Holiday Gift Show at the Claremont Hotel in Berkeley this year. The event was at the Claremont Hotel on Tunnel Road in Berkeley, CA on Saturday November 27, 2010 from 10am to 5pm. (If you missed the show, Carol’s studio is always open by appointment!)

2010: Pre-Mother’s Day Jewelry Sale at Carol’s Studio in Oakland

Carol’s beautiful jewelry was on sale in her studio at 83 Templar Place, Oakland.  They make a great Mother’s Day gift! (Remember, if you weren’t able to make it on Saturday, Carol’s studio is always open by appointment!)
